BOHECO I was informed during the meeting, which was attended by affected distribution utilities and key players in the industry, that NGCP presently has only one (1) operational transformer serving Leyte, Samar, Biliran and Bohol using limited power supply. Please be advised that it takes at least three (3) operational transformers of NGCP to resume normal operations.
With the instability of our current power status attributed to the insufficient supply of power, municipalities within the coverage area of BOHECO I are still experiencing power outages as per NGCP’s advise to implement load shedding.
We still regret that we cannot provide you with a definite schedule of power interruption and restoration because aside from the limited power supply, there is also an unscheduled load dropping from NGCP Area Control Center.
